They cant, they want to but they cant. They can implement it in their banks, but they cant take control of it. Because Bitcoin is an independent network.
How is this possible?
Government can’t take all control on bitcoin network
As bitcoin is anonymous currency or digital but it doesn’t mean that government can take it under their hold
Not possible…if there is a chance to be happen then according to me first government make tax on bitcoin..lol

No one can control bitcoin because it’s a huge network
When there is no third party involved no bank management system, no taxes its independent to use or control…. Other one just make an open bitcoin network but not control
Bitcoin is centralized crypto currency or independent network how someone or even a government can hold on it?
