Bitcoin wallet for users

Tue Jun 06, 2017 8:17 am

Do the exchanges create wallet per user or the same wallet for all the users?

any exchange doesn't have a cold or hot wallet. But, a wallet may contain pairs, like private keys. your exchange only provides you a voucher with different addresses and generated by the exchange. in all scenario, you don't have any access to your money and your addresses, in cold wallet.

it is not feasible for exchange to create wallets for each user! They must have another ways of doing it.

Well I don't own an exchange neither I'm a worker at any, so it is very hard to tell what they exactly do, but creating wallet for every user sounds infeasible.

I have no proper clue but they must be using databases to store, but surely exchanges can't afford making wallets for each user.

Yes giles, it is necessary, because if you don’t have any wallet cold or hot then how would you get bitcoin in other crypto? And for that purpose, there is a need to user with wallet and compulsory to have a unique address for unique id

Wallet is just like bank account. If there is a facility of joint account in bank there could be a facility of single wallet for multiple users.
