Why using a wallet in an offline storage is considered less secure?
The point of using an offline wallet is to store your private key on an offline computer. However, in order to spend those coins, you will need to copy your private key to a connected computer, which means it's no longer offline, leaving it vulnerable to hackers.
cold storage includes dif options like hardware, desktop and paper wallets. Teach have their own pros and cons, but the common con is that they can easily be damaged.
they are considered less secure because they need extra security for themselves too before providing security to your bitcoins.
the cold storage are like hardware wallets are not free to use and can break.
anyone can steal your cold storage wallets, so they need extra security and care.
cold storage like paper wallets can be torn, burnt or stolen and we can't even restore them.
I would like to add about desktop wallets, these wallets can be hacked and we can't restore them too plus these wallets are not suitable if your PC is not actually only your personal computer.
USB drives are also included in cold storage, they can be damaged by using magnet.
paper wallet type cold storage can be copied too.
