How do you differentiate a commodity from a currency?

Anyway, a Commodity is something that has intrinsic value and can be used or consumed. Such as water to drink, wood to make a meter measuring stick & paper for the IQ test."

currency can be used as a commodity to help poor and commodity is something which is useful.

currency is used to measure money while commodity is a something that can be traded, bought and sold.

currency is not to measure money, but currency is a synonym of money.

commodity is an item or something that is useful and can be sold while currency is used to buy things in exchange that we need.

currency of any country is actually the government controlled money while commodity comes when we talk about something useful.

the commodity and currency somewhat are related to each other while if we see overall currency is related to money only and commodity is related to more objects.

we can say that commodity is the super set of all useful things while currency /money as a subset.

one can be sold and bought i.e commodity while other is use to buy commodities/ items etc.
