Yes, governments want to do so. Bitcoin was the idea that ultimately brings an end to the banking system. In that context, governments trying to regulate it to maintain its monopoly once again. Governments can attack in following ways;
• Regulate or impose taxes on Bitcoin based business
• Outlaw the usage of Bitcoin and other digital currencies
• Turn off the internet excess, which is impossible

Government is basically trying to crushing Bitcoin through different ways but not exactly to kill it.

Government is essentially attempting to pounding Bitcoin through various ways yet not precisely to slaughter it.

bitcoin is essentially absolutely and totally pointless for getting cash out of all over the world that’s why government want to make their control on bitcoin

if any government outlaws bitcoin it will slow down its growth in that region controlled by that criminal group called government.
