Now download a wallet from blockchain.info and store your bitcoins there. The wallet will also have a private key, don't lose it or share it with anyone else. Lastly, make to sure to keep a backup on your PC. Once the coin is transferred and the wallet is backed up, that's pretty much it.

Withdrawals through CEX.IO are much quicker than Poloniex. Besides, Poloniex got hacked back in 2014 and lost plenty of bitcoins. Though I am sure they have improved their system since then, they have a history of mistakes and can't be trusted from a security point of view.
